Salt Lake Tribune, United States
It had enough horsepower to elude deputies during a chase. Scott Peay says the driver took the cart into an alfalfa field, where it jumped irrigation ditches during the chase. Peay says the cart wasn’t faster than sheriff’s cruisers, but deputies couldn’t get through the ditches that the cart cleared.

The 1953 graduate of Arthur Hill High School worked for 30 years during SVSU’s formative years, seeing the school grow from about 400 students when he arrived in the business office in 1968, to a school with 400 student-athletes when he retired as the athletic director at the end of 1998. Joe Vogl, who played SVSU golf under Becker and later was an assistant coach for him before succeeded him both as a head coach and, later, as an athletic director, said the family is holding an 11 a.
