Richmond officials consider closing golf course

- Budget troubles could cause Richmondofficials to close one of the city’s two public golf courses. The Parks Board has scheduled a meeting for Dec. 10 to hearpublic comments on possibly closing either the Glen Miller or theHighland Lake course. The two public courses are projected to finish this year with adeficit of nearly $46000 marking at least their sixth consecutivemoney-losing year. City Council members have indicated they do notwant to use city money to fund the golf courses.
