I just want to be more serious about it. Wow can you even imagine John Daly taking his golf seriously? Now would that really be any fun? Daly doesn’t seem especially serious in those garish slacks he wears. But he can give the tour what it needs – a unique compelling personality – while also working on his game. He can still hang out at Hooters (a treacherous habit no question) after he hits balls on the range.
Callaway Golf boosts private offering by $15M

– Callaway Golf Co. which makes and sells golf clubs and other golf accessories said Wednesday that it boosted a planned private offering of preferred stock by $15 million to $125 million. The preferred stock offering which was announced Monday gives initial buyers a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional $15 million in preferred shares to cover any overallotments.

Despite his fan club Sako couldn’t get heated up shooting a 6-over-par 78. Gunn-Palo Alto’s Martin Trainer finished a stroke ahead of Sako with a 5-over 77. Sako had about seven members of the Bears’ notorious Sixth Man Club cheering him on plus many family members present in support. “Nick was always involved in the Sixth Man Club either in football and in basketball” Menlo-Atherton golf coach Buff Giurlani said.
